Assessment of the knowledge of staff nurses on health hazards related to bio medical waste disposal

Introduction: Biomedical waste is any solid, fluid or liquid waste, including container and intermediate products, generated during diagnosis treatment in the hospitals. At same time health services may generate large quantity of wastes byproducts that need to be handled safely disposed properly. Materials Method: The descriptive study was conducted with convenience sample 50 staff nurses working at hospital Agra. semi structured questionnaire prepared for interviewing participant. It contains about demographic profile such as age years, religion, family income per month, type family, marital status, previous exposure education regarding Bio Medical Waste Management source information on Management. Results: Among samples majority 26 (52%) were under qualification B.SC (N). regard total years experience 35 (70%) fall 0-5 experience.
